What is RRP?
Relationship Recovery Process (RRP)
Individual and Group Therapy
Developed by Amanda Curtin and popularized by Patrick Teahan, the Relationship Recovery Process (RRP) is a six-month, trauma-informed group program that helps adults heal the lasting effects of childhood relational trauma. RRP is based on the understanding that because relational wounds occur in relationships, they can also heal through safe, supportive connection with others.
The program helps strengthen the relationship between your Adult Self and Inner Child, allowing you to recognize and move beyond survival patterns such as people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, perfectionism, and relationship difficulties with greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and choice.
I've completed advanced clinical training as an RRP practitioner and I've also had the privilege of participating in an RRP group myself.
Experiencing this work from both sides - as a therapist and as a participant - has given me a deep appreciation for the healing that can happen through safe, supportive relationships. It's a modality I truly believe in, and I'm honored to offer this experience to others.
Is RRP Group Therapy Right for You?
RRP Group Therapy is designed for adults who have experienced—or believe they may have experienced—the lasting effects of childhood relational trauma. Whether you struggle with people-pleasing, difficulty trusting others, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from yourself, this program offers a supportive space for healing.
While participation in a group may feel vulnerable at first, many people find that healing alongside others with similar experiences provides a powerful opportunity for connection, relational repair, and lasting change.
If you're interested in learning more or exploring whether RRP is a good fit for you, I'd be happy to answer your questions and discuss the next steps.

What You Can Expect
RRP groups offer a safe, supportive space to heal alongside others who understand the impact of childhood relational trauma. Throughout the program, you'll learn to strengthen the connection between your Adult Self and Inner Child while gaining insight into how early experiences continue to shape your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviors.
Together, we'll explore new ways to regulate emotions, communicate effectively, set healthy boundaries, and replace old survival patterns with healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. Through shared experiences, guided exercises, and compassionate connection, many participants find they feel seen, understood, and less alone.
RRP groups can be a powerful stand-alone experience or a complement to individual therapy, offering opportunities for healing that are unique to the group setting.
